Cycle 3 - Day 2

It has been a while since my last blog and there has been a lot going on. Let's see Dess started a Professional Women’s Football league, we met with a Psychologist a part of the Asst. Reproduction process, and there is twelve days left before we inseminate.

Dess is playing football for a team called Dallas Diamonds; this Saturday will be their third game against Atlanta, which is supposed to be the game of the season. The Diamonds are 2 and 0, and Dess one of the rookies of the team have been moved to starting. Dess is starting on the defense side and coming in for offense and specialty teams. I may be biased, but she is kicking BUTT, I am truly amazed at her talent and very proud to be in the stands cheering her on.

Last week, we met with a psychologist who had to evaluate us as a couple. At first I was a bit upset; I thought this was only something they made gay couples do and failed to see the main point as to why this is important.

The first thing I learned this wasn't about the gay folks, Hetero couples who are requesting donor sperm, must go through the same process. The reason for this is evaluation is to ensure everyone involved are aware of the physical and emotional stress TTC can have on a person.

Sometime we fell to realize that it isn’t as easy as we may think. Some people tend to believe they will go out buy sperm, have it inseminated into them, and nine months later have a child, which isn’t always the scenario. There are tons of people who have been trying for years and are unsuccessful. Can you imagine what this does to a person or a couple? Many couples have broken up, or on a verge of breaking up.

TTC conceive is a BIG decision, you need to know everything, good and bad before you and your family decides this is what you really want. I can say Dess, Cherish and I are 150% ready.

We are inseminating in twelve days, OMG I am sooooooo excited and cannot stop smiling. On May 2nd, (Day 10) I go to the Dr. for my sonogram, this is to tell the Dr and me, if my cervix is beginning to open. This gives me an idea as to when I will ovulate. I am pretty confident that my Ovulate window is between Day 13 and 16. On my last cycle my OPK test read positive on Day 13, so we shall see what will happen.
