Tuesday, April 1, 2008 is the first step of us trying to conceive Andre or Andrea. Today at 9:00 a.m. we had our first Dr. visit at the Assisted Reproduction Center in Bedford Texas. Our acting Doctor is Dr. Doody who is really nice and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was extremely nervous and Dess was fronting like she had a care in the world. Believe me she was ready to pull what little hair she has out.
Today we learned that we would need NO additional medication to help us conceive a child. This was learned after Dr. Doody performed a cervix and Ovary exam. My cervix looks great and my ovaries are perfectly fine.
At this point all we need to do is go home pick a sperm donor, and complete the rest of the process, which is meeting with the center appointed Psychologist, waiting on my blood work results, and notarizing some paperwork.
I really want to inseminate this month (April), but I think May is more likely, due to time constraints. I guess we have to wait and see.
I am truly happy and excited and cannot wait to be pregnant with our child.
